Jenny's Miami Guide

With our seemingly endless winter in Toronto, I left the snow behind for some sand in Miami. This time, I was there to shoot our Summer18 campaign (see those shots here); I was craving freshness for the Jenny Bird brand and I felt like my Birdgirls would be craving that too when it came time to release the campaign.

After the shoot was done, I do what I do every time I'm in Miami.
This is my ideal day in the city of sun.

It all begins at the Soho Beach House, and then straight to the beach for a run and some yoga, followed by some less active all-day beach chilling. Then, to an early dinner at Mandolin Miami for fresh fish and delicious Greek eats. Mandolin is located in Miami's Design District. I like to go there around 4PM, so that I have time to take a walk as the sun sets over the district and all its art galleries and shops.

Here are my favourite places:

WHERE TO STAY | Soho Beach House

I got to Miami the night before the shoot and had a few moments of relaxation to myself.

WHERE TO EAT AND SHOP | Mandolin Miami | Mrs. Mandolin

Mandolin Miami, an aegean bistro serving yummy recipes from Greece and Turkey, was opened by husband and wife power team, Anastasia Koutsioukis and Ahmet Erkaya in 2009. It’s my go-to when I’m in Miami; the one place I make a point of going to for their simple and delicious meals.

Their newest venture: Mrs. Mandolin, a cafe and lifestyle store inspired by travel, culture and the effortless ease of the Mediterranean curated by Anastasia.
